Meet Lisa and Katie, Executive Directors
Lisa Saucier, RN
I’m a registered nurse with 18 years of experience, mostly in hospice and palliative care. I graduated in 2005 from Walla Walla University with a B.S. in nursing. I founded Oregon Care Link to bring together patients with chronic and life-limiting illnesses and caregivers who are called to serve this unique need. My loves are being a mother of three, a pet mom of a golden retriever and two mischievous cats, Taylor Swift singalongs, and bubble tea.
Katie Stirling
I started as a medical assistant, working for 14 years for Providence Urgent Care and Family Practice. I have 8 years of experience as a senior caregiver with a focus on hospice and memory care. I love to connect with families, providing comfort during a difficult time. I spend my spare time with my children, husband, and dogs Nova and Buster. Hiking trails and beaches are some of my favorite places. I took a trip with my son to Italy this summer, where we learned to make pizza!
Our mission is to intervene with the systemic changes faced by the homebound and end-of-life community.
Elders living alone and declining, with very limited income, but without Medicaid, so they can’t afford caregiving.
People who are cared for by a spouse who is unable to provide the complexity of their care, and the worry of being separated by placement to a higher level of care.
The lack of available caregivers and the need for more education and mentorship for new caregivers, so they feel more confident than we did early in our careers.
